Convent
Cleantech - A Global Trend and a Blue Ocean
Cleantech describes all technologies that increase the efficiency of energy, such as renewable energy (wind power, solar power, biomass, hydropower, biofuels), green transportation, electric motors and much more. Convent has foreseen the growing importance of Cleantech and set up an innovative HR-approach.
Expert for Experts
In a blue ocean industry, it is hard to find experts. It is even harder if this industry requires huge investments. Take the wind power industry for example; while onshore wind mills have started to become commodity, the whole offshore wind industry is starting from scratch. Consider that Germany is committed to increasing the percentage of energy from offshore wind mills dramatically, so the whole offshore wind industry is looking for the people to make this happen. While there are just a few offshore wind professionals, Convent has implemented a game-changing, integrated approach to provide offshore professionals.
How It All Started
Based many years of HR experience, Thorben Schiborowski founded Convent in 2009 to support the cleantech industry with professionals. He has grown the business to include the areas of solar power, hydro power as well as biomass and is now taking off in offshore wind power.
