Last week we renovated our daughter’s room, and of course my role was to assemble all of the IKEA furniture. This has been a long-standing tradition in our family, and no matter how much I work, how much I travel, or even how much money we make, assembling IKEA is always part of our lives. Dad and the kids get together, we bring the toolbox and step by step, we get things done. The beauty of IKEA is that the company is getting better and better over time. Twenty years ago, we always had some pieces left after the table or desk was ready. To this day, I keep a little box with some of those pieces in case a sideboard or table falls apart.
